For bamboo Cultivation, in the field of making seedlings, at the age of one to two years, the bamboo culms have to be laid on the ground like the Layering method. The rhizome of the bamboo will remain in the soil. A trench is dug leading outwards from the culm. A half-cut is made across the top of the rhizome and the culm is lowered into the trench. Then wet soil has to be pressed on the bamboo. Bamboos have to lie down in the month of Baisakh-Jestha. From some bamboo knots, new roots and culms are born. New bamboo comes out from there. Bamboo saplings have to be cut with knots and planted in suitable places.
Pit making and fertilizer application
